Description

Circus Skills Class team building activity

The seemingly impossible challenges of learning how to juggle; how to spin a plate; how to use a flower stick; and how to throw and catch a diabolo are quickly mastered.

During this event, fears of failure or looking silly are put to one side. Participants are encouraged to develop a supporting learning environment in which it is OK to ask for help; to share their skills; to acknowledge each others' successes; and to accept that getting it wrong is all part of the learning process.

This event is great as a conference energiser, or as part of any team-building event.

What happens during the Circus Skills Class team building activity?

Typically, the event runs by dividing participants into teams. Each team is introduced to a new skill before moving on to look at the next one.

During this time, each participant is encouraged to have fun, to experiment, to ask for help and to offer help.

Later on each team will be asked to demonstrate their newly-acquired skills in a showcase to be viewed, of course, by the whole group.

Within this, teams will need to decide who does what and when.

Equipment supplied: Juggling balls, clubs (including fire) and rings, fire staff, diabolo’s, spinning plates, Hula hoops, Yo Yo’s, slack lines, sparkler fun, balance boards, bubbles clown bikes single and tandem, trike and Pedalo Wheels.
