A Horse Racing Night

No guest will feel left out as our ‘bookies’ pull out all stops to ensure that everyone gets into racing carnival mode.  This Corporate event is all about engaging the team in a fun atmosphere where everyone can be involved.

A Horse Racing Night will ensure that your guests are interacting on a much more personal level than they would in an office environment. A staff event is an ideal way to promote team building and improve overall morale.

We can also provide Horse Racing theming to really bring the Spring Carnival to life, with floral backdrops, race day entrances, picket fences, astro turf, lighting and more.

Everything you need to know about A Horse Racing Night team building activity

Horse Racing Nights are incredibly easy and marvelous fun to run. We supply all you need for the horse-racing night, including fun money, personalised form guides and betting slips, bookies, bookie boards, astro turf, picket fencing and a live race caller. You simply provide the venue and the guests. We even provide a cup trophy for the overall winner.

What happens during A Horse Racing Night team building activity

We will arrive before your guests and setup everything for you. All we require is an empty room for us to install the equipment. Our screen and computer require a 3m square footprint, and a power point.​

There are 6 races showing footage of pre recorded races, and each race has eight horses. To add a touch of authenticity we call the races live! Generally it takes between 20-30 minutes between races. We supply a custom race program that gives the form for the horses. Using fun money we provide, your guests will bet with our bent bookies at the authentic Bookie Boards in the winners circle.

The last race is a bit special, we won't spoil it for you here! We figure out which guest or team is winning, as best we can, and encourage everyone to spend up on the last race. After the race is won, from the chaos we emerge with a winner and present them with an engraved trophy!

Each guest will receive $10,000 in fake Horse Racing money to use to bet on the races. Guests will also receive a form guide outlining the races, horses names, racing colours and current form. Using the fun money and the form guide, the guests will place bets with our “bent bookies” at the authentic bookie boards on whichever runner they think will win the race. You can bet on as many runners as you like, as many times as you like. You will be given a ticket for each bet. Hold on to this, you’ll need it to claim your winnings. When all bets have been placed, the race will be run and the winner displayed.

If your horse is the winner, collect your winnings from the bookie. ‘WIN ONLY’ BETS ALLOWED. Absolutely no bribing of Bookies allowed. After the 6 races have been run, we will find the overall winner for the Horse Racing Night and they will be awarded the Trophy, and bragging rights for being the best Pro Punter!
