Looking for a way to combine team building? Help raise funds for sick kids whilst competing in a fun and exciting Amazing Race event!

The concept behind ‘Race to Shine’ is a fun Amazing Race team building program with all challenges themed around The Starlight Children’s Foundation. The event begins with an exciting introduction where you meet your gregarious, engaging hosts, all of who are professional actors.

What happens during the Amazing Race- Starlight Race to Shine team building activity?

Once we’ve introduced the game and how it works we also give a brief introduction to personality profiling. This is accomplished with humour and is a great way of encouraging participants to identify each teammate’s strengths and weaknesses and how important their role is within the larger team – from here it’s Game On! Teams will navigate their way to checkpoint challenges around the city.

Planning and strategy are key to success as teams plot their own course. Multiple bonus challenges and teams performances at each of the checkpoints mean that this game is about the points you accrue en-route as opposed to how quickly you complete it; this is anyone’s game! At our final venue, a designated bar, we conduct our famous closing ceremony where we introduce a surprising twist throwing the whole game up in the air before finally awarding the victors with their prizes and most importantly, their bragging rights!

Logistics

Suggested team numbers: Depending on your final numbers we suggest teams of 5-6 people. Teams can be pre-organised by sending a list through prior to the day or can be divided up by your race official on the day.

Weather Restrictions: We do anti-rain dances as often as we can to ensure the sun shines on us most days, however, we operate regardless of Mother Nature’s mood. In fact, our events can even be more fun in the rain, but please come prepared. In the event of wet weather, we will provide super-glamorous ponchos. Please discuss absolute washout scenarios with us.
