Everything you need to know about the Film Fest team building event

The FILMFEST Short Film Festival will see teams of approximately 6-10 people shoot a short film in just 2 hours.

Armed with the experience and collaboration of professional actors and directors each of the teams will have assistance in planning and storyboarding a 2-3 minute piece.

Left to their own devices teams will then have to hit the streets to film their masterpiece.

It’s a big task and teams will have to work as a decisive creative unit to finish their entry in time, but teams are always surprised and we are constantly impressed by the quality of the films teams are able to produce.

What happens during the Film Fest team building activity

It’s a big task that seems near impossible to most and teams will have to work as a decisive creative unit to finish their entry in time, but teams are always surprised and proud of what they have been able to accomplish together and we are constantly impressedby the quality of the films teams are able to produce.

The group will be briefed on how to operate their cameras and equipment and will be provided with a list of specific items and tasks that must be included in the film. The film can be of any style including documentary, music video, short story, infomercial or interview. The “World Premiere” of the short films will be shown at a venue of your choice just 2 hours after the action begins. Each member of the team will be required to participate to ensure the project is a collaborative effort the entire group.

From directing, script writing, costume & prop sourcing, choreographing, planning & producing and for those that aren’t so shy, starring in the film itself. This event insures everyone will have a chance to shine. Delegation, planning and team cohesion are extremely important to the success of a team’s final product.

Teams will not only walk away having had an absolute ball stepping outside theircomfort zone, but we can also send you through a DVD of the films created on the day to be viewed and remembered for years to come.
