Everything you need to know about the Giant Foosball team building activity

The popular table game foosball has now been made into a life-size, inflatable, fun experience. What makes it so popular is that it can literally be enjoyed by anyone. You don’t need any special sporting skills or athletic abilities. This event can also be teamed with Segways and Laser clay shooting for a longer event.

What happens during the Giant Foosball team building activity ?

Each participant puts on a waist harness enabling them to only move from side to side or left to right just like the popular table soccer game.

The teams have to overcome their restrictions by synchronising their movements.

Imagine the ball is to the right, your first instinct is to run to it, but wait, you are attached to up to two other people, if you don’t communicate and work as a team then the other team may get to the ball first and score.

Teamwork and communication are essential to pass the ball successfully between team members so you can score.

If one ball in play isn’t enough then it will be mixed up with two balls.

Now its utter chaos. Who has eyes in the back of their heads? Which ball do we go for first? Which team can adapt the best to the constantly changing environment?

Communication, commitment, and courage are needed to win, sounds a little like business doesn’t it?

Throughout the game, points are accumulated and the overall team winner announced at the end of the day with awards given.

To be successful, teams need to be able to adapt to a constantly changing environment. They need to be able to communicate effectively to one another if they are going to get to the ball first (remember they are harnessed to each other attached to a rope) and they need a plan to be able to get past the opposition and score a goal.

Logistics

Depending on the size of your group, your colleagues will be allocated into teams of 7 – 10 people.

Therefore up to 20 people at a time can play.

Games can be played anywhere from 10 minutes to 30 minutes per half.

Teams will then compete against each other in an attempt to score a goal. The team that scores the most goals will be the winners.

For larger groups, a tournament style system can be deployed which enables quarter and semi finals with the best two teams on the day fighting it out to be the Foosball Champions.

This is a great game for those participating and spectating and one that guarantees everyone will be unable to stop laughing.

** Please note: This activity can only be run in a private venue within Sydney
