How many times have you heard someone in your company say “it’s not my fault?”
The most common symptoms of a lack of personal responsibility are blame and excuses. People like to blame everyone else. They will blame management, other teams or departments, even other people in their team. Or they will make excuses, which is effectively blaming some external factor, like the traffic, or poor communication.
The problem with this is that the real issue, whatever it may be, is being ignored.
If you are experiencing high levels of blame and excuses it’s almost certain you will also be experiencing poor productivity, interpersonal conflict, negativity, and other cultural challenges.
The “Take Responsibility Workshop” teaches participants to identify blame, excuses, and denial and challenges them to take responsibility, ownership and accountability. It presents a simple model that creates a language so people in your organisation can support each other to take responsibility.
Your people will walk away from this workshop having learned the essential steps to personal empowerment. This workshop has been described as “life changing” as people learn to recognise their negative thinking patterns and take responsibility for their own outcomes.
“Take Responsibility” is presented by facilitators with decades of experience helping and challenging people to think differently. Your participants will be engaged in interactive discussion, engaging presentations, and energetic activities which are all designed to help them understand the power of personal responsibility.
Prior to the workshop the facilitator will contact you to discuss the group and your specific needs. They will then tailor the session to more effectively meet your needs.
During the session your participants will participate in simple activities, workshop discussion, and engaging presentations.
Participants need to attend with a great attitude, a willingness to learn, and an open mind. The people that get the most out of this workshop are willing to reflect on their own thinking and behaviour and accept feedback from others.
To get a great outcome participants need to apply what they have learned back at work.
